The rules and guidelines governing your use of our auction platform.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, placing a bid, or using any services provided by AuctionHouse, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, you must not use our platform.

Account Registration

You must create an account to participate in auctions. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 18 years old.

Bidding Terms

All bids are legally binding offers to purchase. By placing a bid, you enter into an obligation to complete the purchase if you are the winning bidder.

Proxy Bidding

Our proxy system allows you to set a maximum bid. The system bids on your behalf using the minimum increment necessary, up to your maximum.

Anti-Sniping Protection

Bids within the final 5 minutes extend closing by 5 minutes, repeating until no new bids arrive in the final window.

Bid Increments

$5 under $100, $10 for $100–$499, $25 for $500–$999, $50 for $1,000–$4,999, $100 for $5,000+.

Fees & Payment

Winning bidders are responsible for:

  • Hammer Price: The final winning bid amount.
  • Buyer's Premium: 16.00% of the hammer price.
  • Sales Tax: 7.00% Florida sales tax on hammer + premium.
  • Shipping: Calculated by weight, dimensions, and destination.

Payment is due within 7 days. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover (Stripe), and PayPal.

Condition & Returns

All items are sold "as is, where is". We make every effort to describe items accurately. All sales are final. If an item is materially not as described, contact us within 48 hours of receipt.

Shipping & Pickup

Items ship after payment clears. Risk of loss transfers to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier. Local pickup available by appointment in Florida.

Limitation of Liability

AuctionHouse acts as a marketplace. Total liability is limited to the buyer's premium paid. We are not responsible for seller-provided provenance accuracy, shipping damage, or consequential damages.

Governing Law

Governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Disputes shall be resolved in Florida courts.
